How to review packaging and labels without missing a critical change
Organize packaging review across design, product, regulatory, and production teams while keeping every decision tied to a version.

Packaging combines design, product information, codes, mandatory copy, and production constraints. A small change in one area can create a problem in another.
The review workflow should show who checked each subject and which exact artwork received the final decision. The platform organizes that work; it does not perform regulatory validation.
Review a complete and readable proof
Use a high-quality PDF or image that includes every panel and keeps small copy readable. Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign source files can accompany the proof, but visual review needs a compatible PDF or image preview.
Give design, product, regulatory, and production reviewers clear responsibilities. They can comment in the same review without all receiving final-decision permission.
Mark mandatory changes precisely
A useful comment identifies the panel, the exact text or object, and the expected correction. Attach the approved source when a legal or technical statement comes from another team.
Treat blocking requirements differently from preferences. A missing warning or wrong code should remain visible until it is checked.
Review the whole layout again before approval
A corrected line can change spacing, legibility, or nearby content. Compare the new version with the previous one, then recheck the full artwork.
Record the decision on the file sent to production. If that file changes later, upload another version and run a new decision instead of silently replacing the approved asset.
An example with one small copy change
Regulatory replaces a two-line warning with approved four-line copy. Design fits the text but reduces its size. Production then flags that the new size is below the agreed print specification.
Keeping all three comments on the same version shows why the change needs another round instead of treating the first correction as complete.
