Import artwork from a ZIP file
Open a ZIP in your browser, select artwork, and create one review for all files or one review per file.

Before you start
- Permission to create reviews and a standard ZIP without a password, ZIP64 or split volumes.
- ZIP up to 250 MB, with up to 500 entries (including folders) and 500 MB expanded.
Quick task overview
Start with these steps. If the task has more steps, they appear right below.
- Step 1
Open New review and choose or drag a ZIP into the file area. The list shows paths, sizes and reasons for blocked files.
- Step 2
Select the files you need: up to 100 files and 250 MB per import. Your plan’s per-file limit still applies, along with the separate 3D model limit.
- Step 3
Click Add selected files. You can cancel while reading or extracting. The original ZIP is not uploaded or stored in Aproova.
Step by step
- 4With more than one reviewable file, choose one review for all files or one review per file. Each separate review uses one unit of your plan’s review allowance.
- 5Choose the project, stages and participants. Check the files and finish creating the review through the normal flow.
What should happen
Only selected files enter the review. Extraction runs in your browser; uploads, previews, history and approval follow the normal workflow.
Common problems
- Blocked file: check its format, size and password protection. Nested ZIPs, empty files, symbolic links, executables and unsafe paths are not imported.
- Repeated names in different folders: rename before creating the ZIP. macOS metadata is ignored.
- Adobe original: also select a reviewable preview with the same base name. Export Word and PowerPoint as PDF.
- Large, slow ZIP or expansion ratio over 200×: split the batch. Extraction times out after two minutes. Your device needs memory for selected files.
- Opening or extracting the ZIP does not create a review. Use Cancel import to stop.
